Get cooking with Lauren Leyva, an award-winning home cook and creator, in the first episode of Cooking with Lauren! In this cook-along, children and families can learn how to make delicious mini pizzas with their favourite toppings.

From mixing a tomato sauce to rolling out dough and decorating each pizza, this recipe gives children the chance to practise basic cooking skills, build confidence and get creative in the kitchen. Whether you love peppers, mushrooms, ham or plenty of cheese, you can make each pizza your own.

The activity links to Spark’s self-care act of “eating something you like”, represented by Grazing Goat from Sparkie & Friends. It’s an opportunity to spend time together, try something new and enjoy food you’ve helped to prepare.

What to expect:

  • A step-by-step mini pizza cook-along.
  • Opportunities to practise preparing ingredients, rolling dough and assembling pizzas.
  • A fun activity for children and families to enjoy together.
  • Around one hour to prepare and cook, making 3–4 mini pizzas.
