About this resource
This interactive assembly, created by Blackout Education, introduces students to the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and explores how AI is already shaping many aspects of everyday life. From search engines and social media to virtual assistants and recommendation algorithms, students are encouraged to recognise where AI is used and how it influences the digital experiences around them. The session explores both the opportunities and challenges of AI, helping young people develop a balanced understanding of how these technologies work. It encourages critical thinking, responsible use and thoughtful discussion around topics such as accuracy, bias, creativity, online safety and digital responsibility. Ideal for schools and educators, this assembly provides an accessible introduction to AI while supporting digital literacy and preparing students to use emerging technologies safely, ethically and confidently.
